Casper Esmann

Casper is one of Scandinavia’s most popular fingerstyle guitarists, known for his melodic playing, technical precision, and heartfelt compositions. Born on December 7, 1992, in Slagelse, Denmark, Casper was introduced to music at an early age, starting piano lessons under the guidance of his mother.

At 14, everything changed when he discovered the music of Tommy Emmanuel. Inspired and captivated, Casper picked up the guitar and dove headfirst into the world of fingerstyle. With no local teachers to guide him, he taught himself by listening to CDs and watching DVDs of live performances—learning by ear, note by note.

Since then, Casper has released six studio albums and shared stages with some of the world’s finest acoustic guitarists, including Tommy Emmanuel, Mike Dawes, Sungha Jung, Andy McKee, and Joe Robinson. Over the past 15 years, he has toured extensively across the globe, building a devoted fanbase with his expressive playing and engaging performances.

In 2018, Casper was named a finalist in MusicRadar’s prestigious Acoustic Guitarist of the Year competition, further cementing his reputation as a standout voice in the international fingerstyle scene.
